It's a new year, so I thought I should update my journal…  its been a while!  2011 was a big year for me personally, and professionally.   

I've been busy…  I branched out artistically, I did some work for Harper Collins and Penguin books, a lot of amazing opportunities came out of nowhere.  I was even offered the lead character artist job on Uncharted 3!  

I did a lot of art for Marvel licensing.  I painted all of the packaging art for the Captain America movie.  That was a big deal for me, seeing a picture that I painted on a toy package was amazing!  I did some Avengers character illustrations that have been used all over the place, from the Marvel comics App, to the Holiday card, and printed 20ft tall on the back of the Marvel booth at Comic-Con.

I even fulfilled a life long dream getting to work for Disney and Pixar.  That was an absolutely incredible experience.  

I've gotten to work on some amazing things that I'm not really allowed to talk about because of Non-disclosure agreements…  The level of secrecy is the one major downside to these jobs!  That's one of the reasons that I haven't been posting a lot of updates here.     

2012 looks like its going to be a great year,  and I'll try to post a lot more art!

I've been on deviantART for 3 years now, and I think it's about time I updated this page with a new journal entry!  First of all I have to thank everyone who has taken the time to view my work and post their comments.  I really appreciate it!  The response I've gotten here on deviantART is incredible, and I have to say I was thrilled to see my page views roll over the 100,000 mark!!!   I've added lots of new art and you can expect to see more regular updates from now on!

I also wanted to mention that I recently won awards for my Spider-man 3 and Jack Sparrow images.  Over the last few months those pictures have been featured on numerous websites, several cg magazines, and Pixologic has been using the images in their advertising and on their company banner at this years Siggraph!
