Apollo-Midnighter by JPRart Apollo-Midnighter by JPRart
This is a sketch that I did featuring Apollo and Midnighter from Stormwatch.
It was announced recently that I will be drawing Stormwatch #30 for DC Comics!

Let me know what you think.

I took a look at the pic and was like "wtf, Kenneth Irons and Batman in a pic?"

and then I read the description.

So happy to know you're doing an entire issue!
I've been meaning to pick up Stormwatch for some time, since i dropped it shortly before Jim Starlin picked it up. Looks incredible!

Wow that's totally an awesome art piece! I wish I could draw people but for some reason it's difficult for me. :(. Everything else I can draw fine without struggling but I could never draw people and it's so frustrating. I really want to start drawing comic book characters but because I'm not too good with drawing people, every time I do it free-handed, somehow it always comes out looking not exactly the way the character should. I know practice makes perfect, but I've been trying to draw people for 10 years now and I'm still no where near the point of where I'd like them to be meaning at least look realistic or similar to this. I also have a hard time with color choices of what goes well in my art work. The hardest part I have with it is the shading of two colors that are somewhat similar such as in this piece the hands and suits. Any tips from one artist to another? Thanks and again this piece is a beauty!!!!!
